Duart Castle, on the Isle of Mull in Scotland is the ancestral home of the Clan Maclean. Standing proudly on a clifftop guarding the Sound of Mull, Duart enjoys one of the most spectacular and unique positions on the West Coast of Scotland. Duart Castle and its grounds are open to the public from April to mid October. There is a carpark, and the byre just below the Castle has been converted into an unusual and attractive tearoom and gift shop.
Visitors may walk through the dungeons and state rooms at their leisure, ending on the top of the keep where it is easy to appreciate the strategic site of the castle.
