During this wonderful self-guided tour you will step back almost two centuries with a fascinating discovery around every corner, brought vividly to life by the warders, matron and prisoners you will meet as you wander around this unique location at your own pace.

Discover how wrongdoers were treated before the days of Prisons in the 'Torture, Death and Damnation Exhibition'.
Take your seat on the public benches and eavesdrop on the original trials held in the Courtroom.
Get locked up in the Airing Yards and meet the Warder, Matron and Prisoners and explore the Cells in the Old Prison and the New Prison.
