This attraction is unique in that it is built around a business that supplies smoked products which can be purchased in the shop. It also provides for wonderful walks in wild scenery where it is possible to catch a glimpse of Red and Roe deer. Over 100 species of bird have been recorded in a lush landscape which also provides splendid mountain views. Trout fishing can be enjoyed on three lochs and Salmon fishing on a beautiful stretch of the river awe. Equipment hire, tuition and refreshments are also available.

Inverawe Fisheries is part of Inverawe Smokehouses, purveyers of fine smoked salmon, smoked trout and other high quality foods established in 1974.

The lochs are stocked daily with prime hardfighting fish to give a good days sport for everyone. While the mile and a half of the River Awe provides some excellent if not challenging Salmon and Sea Trout fishing.

The Smokery shop has a complete range of Smoked foods along with the very best of other Scottish connoisseur products. Also an extensive array of cookery books and kitchen gadgets. It also stock a range of flies and tackle for anlgers.

With a lovely panoramic view down to the river, the Smokery café is the perfect place to stop and relax.

Visitor centre

Find out about the history and craft of smoking fish. Our exhibition is for all ages, starting with an amazing set of miniature models showing netting and fishing methods used in the past.

Fishing School

Everyone from seven years upwards is welcome to take a lesson to the wonderful sport of fly fishing and for those who want to get more deeply into it, we can offer a complete trout fly fishing course.Tackle hire is provided with all tuition.
