Local Producers Market
Twice monthly Local Producers Market
A wonderful attraction for all locals and tourists alike.
Local Origins Rural Network is a local producers and skills network who have established a very popular, twice monthly market showcasing the best in locally grown and produced food and creative arts.
Plenty of produce to take home, from butchered beef, mutton, lamb and pork, fresh seafood and fish, goose, fruits and vegetables, according to seasons, as well as cheese, bakery, sweets and confectionary.
Our creative artists illustrate quality skills and talent, inspired by our natural surroundings, with beautiful items to take home for yourself, or as gifts and souvenirs
Cookery demonstrations are a regular feature, as are trial sessions of felting, pyrography, jewellery, wood turning and other craft activities. Plans for 2010 include natural history, traditional skills, language and culture, history and charity stalls.
